The Lumen project was a full basement build-out that transformed an unfinished space into a multi-functional retreat for a family of five. With mountain views as a backdrop, the layout centered around a striking black-and-white bar featuring an accordion window for seamless indoor-outdoor flow. The design reflects the clients’ love of classic contrast, incorporating black cabinetry, white tile, and white oak accents throughout. We maximized functionality with a built-in wine bar nestled between structural supports, a guest-ready office with a hidden Murphy bed, and a bold bathroom featuring playful dog wallpaper and gold accents. From black shiplap and ceilings in the living area to durable finishes underfoot, every detail was thoughtfully designed to balance style, utility, and budget.
