about
nook design collective is a full-service interior design studio in Denver, Colorado, for homeowners who are renovating, building new or finally furnishing the home they love.
We take a project from first sketch to final install: layouts, finishes, cabinetry, lighting and furniture, with one team managing the details alongside your builder. If you want a home that looks beautiful and works for the way you really live, we'd love to hear from you.
I was the kid constantly rearranging the furniture and redesigning my bedroom, with a mom willing to spend her weekends helping me cover the walls in crackle paint and hang glow-in-the-dark stars. (The '90s were a wild time.) Growing up in Phoenix, surrounded by mid-century architecture, I've loved timeless, simple design ever since.
I spent nearly two decades in residential design, climbing the corporate ladder at home building and interior finish companies, with a renovation always going on the side. After my son was born, I decided to spend my time on what I love most, and I started nook.
I notice when something needs to shift ever so slightly, because the difference between good and great design is in the smallest details.

pragmatic statement…
Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.
Emily Vicarel was Stacy's first call when it was time to grow the collective. The two have worked side by side since 2015, and Emily brings sharp design skills and a little levity to every project.
[Add a line or two from Emily: what she loves designing, a favorite recent project, or her own practical rule of thumb.]
